hello to all members of the battery

Hello to all the devoted members of Reynolds Battery L .I am really looking forward to meeting everyone at the December meeting in Lockport. I decided to join late last summer when I ran into a former student of mine ,Rick Lake , at GCV Village in Mumford . I taught US History & Government at Hilton High School for 33 years and am now semi retired. I always did a huge focus on the Civil War each year and hopefully I can be a fine contributor to your group. This sounds like both an…See More

Pvt. Reiben: Say Captain, you don't gripe at all?

Capt. Miller: I don't gripe to you, Reiben. I'm a Captain. We have a chain of command. Gripes go up, not down. Always up. You gripe to me, I gripe to my superior officer, and so on and so forth. I don't gripe to you. I don't gripe in front of you. You should know that, as a Ranger.

Pvt. Reiben: Well, I'm sorry, sir, but let's say you weren't a Captain, or maybe I… Continue

fair and right...!

Did you ever hear someone make the comment "it's not fair"...?
I'm not sure why this has been on my mind lately... the thing is what does being fair have anything to do with anything when the real question should be is it right. ...! Cause' to be quite honest, I'm sure that if we where more worried about doing the right thing toward each other we wouldn't have to worry if it's fair..!

Cant Find the Poster

On the right I have a image of a poster, except it is not for the Reynold's Battery L. We have a poster that is for the Reynold's battery but we can not find a digital copy. We would love to find a digital copy of it so that we can replace the right image!

Thanks

Reynolds' Battery L was incorporated as a Not-for-Profit Educational Corporation under the New York State Board of Regents in 1987.

Our Artillery Battery is based out of the Niagara Frontier and the Finger Lakes regions of Western and Central New York, and is under the Command of Captain Richard Henderson.

The Battery currently boasts 2 fully operational 3 inch Ordnance Rifled Guns with Limbers and a fully operational 1847 Model Forge.

Our battery participates in several reenactments, educational events, living history presentations and parades each year.

As a battery we are also members of The National Civil War Artillery Association and The Artillery Reserve.
